Ok. so, the coats arrived yesterday. As a point of reference I'm somewhere around 4'11"-5' and I weigh 96 pounds. 32C bra, size 26 jeans, I have a short torso and need XXS petite or double 00 petite tops, and they are usually still too long and not proportioned properly (they end up looking too big and too small at the same time - the roomy area for the bust falls at my narrower waist, and the narrower portion for the waist falls at my wider hips). The two VS coats I ordered are both the same brand "Via". Both size 0 Petite.

The sleeve length was perfect and the length of the coat was perfect but it was a little roomy in the armhole openings. For me, that is fine, because I wear suits to work. It was also a little roomy around the area of the button that falls just under the bust. Otherwise, the fit was good. Not a bad coat for an emergency replacement at $79. The quality, however, is not great. The wool looks like it will be completely pilly by the end of next week and it attracts lint like no other wool coat I've ever owned.

Just plain too big. Same brand as the other but the sleeves were at least one inch maybe two inches longer. Length was ok, but it was just really roomy overall. The picture looks so cute, like it would be fitted on top and then fall nicely with the A-line, but I just ended up looking pregnant. This one is going back. I'll keep the other and see what Burberry comes out with for petites next season.
I would try VS coats again. I'm just not sure I would go to them for heavy weight winter coats. But I think they might have cute jackets for the fall.
