Speaking of (petite) intimates, I wanted to introduce you all to the magic Bra Ball. I was slightly apprehensive of such a weird looking device and its high price, but I took the plunge after reading positive reviews. I purchased it in August of 2008 and it is STILL holding up and doing what it is supposed to do (ideally, one should follow directions of use for a product to work, duh!). I basically put one of my bras inside of the bra ball per the directions and only wash on the gentle cycle (cold and warm work). I also maintain darks with darks and lighter colors with lighter colors (e.g. I can wash a black bra in cold water with my jeans). My bra comes out clean and un-snagged while the bra ball remains unscathed.

Before the Bra Ball, I despised (to the nth degree) hand washing bras in the sink with gentle Woolite detergent. I would probably put that task on my top ten detested chores I had to do each week. I finally decided to do some research and stumbled across this thing and since then have not had to hand wash any bra. My VS bras and TLBC bras have held up wonderfully.

Anyway, just a heads up. No company or product affiliation here. Just a loyal product user. :)
I purchased through Amazon so was able to pinpoint exact date of sale through my order history.

What a handy little tool! I've been washing my bras in mesh garment bags, and the hooks have a tendency to snag on the mesh and cause other havoc in the washer. Thanks for sharing punksjunk!

Hand washing is the pits!

I use small mesh garment bags as well, and I find that the straps don't get caught on the mesh if the bag is small enough.

I have gotten ones that look exactly like this at my local Daiso (its a Japanese dollar store) http://cgi.ebay.com/Bubble-Bra-Underwea ... 2a10937d30 and have worked out really well for me.
