Hello,

I am going crazy looking for some super-dark, completely non-distressed, non-faded, bootcut petite jeans to replace the ones I bought last year from Banana Republic (the ones at BR this year don't fit me as well, are longer, and are a light-weight denim that I'm not crazy about).

So far the only nice ones I've found are at LOFT. Unfortunately, a 00P gives me a muffin top (but fit nice everywhere else) and the 0P seems to have too much fabric in the rise area, and also has a big waist gap. I've never had LOFT jeans before; should I just try to rock the 00P and hope they stretch out? (I'm sure they'll stretch a bit, since all denim does, but I'm not sure how much.) Or does someone else have another recommendation?

I just got these:

They might be worth a try- the color is nice and the inseam for the short is about 29".

Those look nice! Is their sizing true to the online size chart? According to the chart I should be somewhere between a 1 and a 3. Maybe I'll just check them out at the local store...PacSun is one of those stores in the mall that I generally don't even bother to go into (I'm kind of old to shop there).

And...wouldn't you know the online store is out of size 3S. *sigh*

I think the size chart is a little small so the 1S might fit? (my measurements are ~34-24-34 and the 0S fit me fine.)

I think you can order them online and then return them to store if they don't fit. And there's no such thing as too old when it comes to jeans- fit is fit! (and if there is then I'm screwed because I definitely tried stuff on from the kids department...) :)

Good to know...in my experience, most size charts seem to run small, but I've never ordered from PacSun before. My measurements are like 30-25-34. I usually take a 1S in juniors so I'll probably try that!

Have you tried Old Navy? I just bought some super dark ones on Sunday during their crazy clearance sale for $7.99. I think they were Diva style. I looked online but don't see the color / style combination, but maybe if you check in store?

Loft jeans do stretch after you wear them for a bit. All of my jeans are dark wash Loft and I've been very happy with them.

If you're looking for premium denim, try Paige jeans in the Laurel Canyon style. They run about a size small (I usually wear a 23 but a 24 is snug in this style). They come in really nice super-dark washes, and if you get them at Nordstrom, an original hem alteration job is free.

My favorite jeans by far are Levi's 524 "Too Superlow" Boot Cut. I wear them in a size 1 short and they still need to be shortened a few inches, but they fit great around the waist and hips. You can buy them online at http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3920933&&cp=3146849.11580757.11797425 , but the site doesn't have all of the sizes and colors — your best bet would be to try to find them in a store. They run around $46 at Carson's, Kohls, etc, but I found a few pairs for $17 at Marshall's once. Good luck finding jeans that work for you!
