Does anyone else have problems finding pumps that won't slip when you walk? I am a size 5 and have such a hard time finding pumps to fit me properly. I have a couple of pairs of pumps that work but most of my shoes need straps which sometimes does not look right with suits.....

I did find some Nine West Peep Toes that seem to run small but caused me to have a a very sore heel. Also- found Charles David nude pumps that run very small too...

If anyone has any ideas on brand of shoes that run small- I would love to hear!!! I do have a lot of ALDO pumps but they seem to be changing their sizes because a lot of the new size 5's are too big!!!

For pumps that slip in the heel, I like to use Foot Petals Heavenly Heelz. I have them in almost all my shoes.

Also at Nordstrom:

And Bare Necessities:

I am going to have to get those foot petals! When I worked, my pumps were always too big causing me to ball my toes up to keep them on. OUCH!

Nordstrom's online usually has a decent size 5 collection. And I have been ordering ALDO off of Amazon. They seem to have a better selection/price. Have you ever been on 6pm.com?
They are a closeout for zappos offering nicer brands for a pretty big discount. They have a good search engine and I've ordered several size 5's.

You can also try the foot petals 'tip toes', sometimes my foot slides forward too much causing the heel to slip. The tip toes really help and I have them in most of my shoes!

Would going a 1/2 size down help? Try on some 4.5's?

Have you tried Linea Paolo? Its the nordstroms store brand and I have a closet FULL of them!

Great suggestion with the tip toes! They also help make your shoes very comfy. I have these in a pair of 4 inch Jimmy Choo's that by all logic should be unbearable after a few hours of standing. The tip toes make them really comfy, and I can stand in them all night without any problems.

I have the same problems, Really Petite! It seems like either my feet are slipping out of the shoes (balling toes to keep them on sounds really familiar haha) or I get horrible blisters on the heel!

I was just talking to the bf earlier today, and he said maybe my feet blister so much because my shoes don't fit right. What do you guys think about that? I think he may be right, my feet are super narrow and very flat... just small feet in general, even though they are a size 5.5/6. I'm going to have to try these foot petals. I'm desperate and tired of blistering!

Eastcoasterin- so I'm not the only one?? LOL I just got a pair of Charles David pumps- that run super duper small- you should try them. Also- Linea Paolo from Nordie's carries super small (narrow) shoes for small feet.

Thanks to AN and Annie K for the excellent tip!!!

Wow I thought I was the only one who had this problem. My solution has always been to find shoes with straps, or buy a half-size smaller than my size 4.5 feet and just make it stretch to the shape of my foot. I'll have to give the inserts a try!

I pretty much buy all my shoes at Nordstrom Rack because it's the only place I can find sizes smaller than 5. And usually all I can find are 4's - the 4.5's are really hard to come by.
