Hello fellow petites,

This is the first time I post on this forum and I love how we have a petite community that we can seek advice and input from each other! This is great!

Anyways, I am looking for a nice pair of pumps! I am barely 5 ft, usually a size 5 shoes but size 5 pumps does not fit me. It falls off in the back when I walk. Maybe I need a size 4.5? Does anyone have any suggestion or places where I can find a nice affordable pumps?

Traci, I'm in the same boat as you! Sometimes 5's fit me, sometimes I gotta step it down a notch! I usually try Payless size 5's first. They're all reasonable price and with the cushions in them, they are comfy (so far!).

Another place I've been dying to check out is Nordstrom. They have shoes as small as 4.5 there, however it's a long commute for me sometimes.

I've had good luck with them. The shoes are well made and they actually fit - I love it. They have you take several measurements, which helps, I think

I also have gotten some petite shoes from Nordstrom. Since sizes vary though, I would try them on before ordering.

I have the same problem. I'm also 5ft tall and also wear a size 5 in shoes. Pumps just do not stay on my feet! I even tried a size 4.5, but even this size didn't stay on. I think shies sizes are different across different brands.
I have two pairs that I bought from Target a few year ago (back when Target sold size 5 shoes) and with a heel insert they stay on.

Have you tried heel inserts? They may help.

i had the same problem...but found that nordstrom carries size 4 shoes!
i read reviews to see if the shoe runs true to size
i love the vince camuto pumps that i picked up (shipped to me in canada)
another good resource is ebay!
check back once in awhile to see what new selection they have.
alot of times, they are new and havent been worn.
i have had good luck getting vince camuto and linea paolo shoes from there!

Thank you for the information. I checked out the Emyloo and wow it has small sizes as low as 3? Have anyone ordered from this website before? I saw a really cute pump on there for $135 but I have not heard of this place before.

I am size 4.5 in heels (5 - 5.5 in running shoes) and here is where I shop:

Zappos, Nordstrom, 6pm.com, Shoes.com, Naturalizer.com, Cole Haan

I sometimes can fit Bebe size 5, but their quality is not as good as it used to be and the prices are higher.

I sometimes can fit Nine West in size 5 with heel and ball of foot pads and some breaking in time.

I'm new to this site. I just checked out a few of these websites they're great! I'm a size 4.5 and the only place I can find shoes is at Nordstrom & Nordstrom rack. It's great to see a few alternatives!!

I was on the hunt for the same exact thing - I finally settled on Enzo Angiolini pumps, which come in sizes as small as 4 (and are super comfy). You can find them at Nordstrom.com!
