I thought I'd start this tread since there are some ladies with feet smaller than a 4 which makes it impossible to find shoes. I myself am a 4.5 (size 4 when the run big, but rarely a 5, unless I have socks on) and would love to hear about any brands in size 5 that run small so that I can start expanding my shoe search since i'm usually too lazy to order 5s since they likely don't fit.

Kate Spade - runs a full size small. I have the cutest pair of Legally Blonde pink pumps in 4.5 that i have to squeeze into, and hurts to wear, they're so freaking cute that I kept them despite them being way too small for me. Trades?

Stuart Weitzman - runs half size small. I have a pair of size 5 patent flats. However, I picked up some of their pumps in a 5 that were too big for me.

DKNY - runs half size small. My sister handed down a pair of sandals from the 90s in a 5B that fit perfectly. I haven't tried a more contemporary one though.

Sofft - runs narrow. I have a pair of these in 4.5, but they're too narrow for me, but the 5s were too big. Would be pefect for someone in between sizes, or have narrow feet. Excellent padding and arch support, but fit me weird.

Enzo Angiolini - runs a little narrow. I have a pair of size 5 pumps that fit with a ball of foot pad. And my 4.5 needed some stretching before they stopped hurting.

Sam Edelman - runs a full size small. Since it runs both short and narrow, i never can get the store sample's size 4 on, ever. These shoes run super tiny.

Michael Kors - runs small. I've tried Michael Kors in a 4.5 or 5, but every single size 4 I have tried on required toe scrunching to get on. Ouch.

Cole Haan - runs narrow. a pair of 5 pumps fit decently with a full liner, and a heel pad.

Any more brands that run small?

I'd love to hear about reviews of brands running small.

I bought at least half a doezen from 6pm, Nordstrom Rack, DSW. They carry size 4 and are comfortable.

Not as in style as Enzo but you can find some classic pumps.

quite affortable too

Here are the current shoes in my closet:

emyloo shoes - I really like this place. It is online only but it is the first time I have had high heels that fit!

Nordstrom brand (there are a few variations): run true to size, I wear size 5

Cole Haan: I think these run a little small. Size 5 is a little tight and that usually does not happen. They will be fine if I stretch them out though.

Ann Taylor: Unfortunately I have size 5.5, which are too big, but they're OK with pads. I actually found some size 5's in the store a while ago and they were perfect.

Mephisto: Best walking sandals ever. Size 5 fits well.

I consider myself 4.5 to 5 but I guess I have mostly 5 now! Size 5's are easier to find. I have had 4.5's in the past though that fit perfectly. I usually shoe shop at Nordstrom; they have a lot of 4.5's and 5's. If you get a good salesperson they will bring you pretty much all of the appropriately sized shoes they have.

I think Cole Haan runs smallish only if it's not a soft shoe. I have a pair of ballet flats that are coming off because they're too big. I usually take 5, sometimes 5.5 with them (the shoes were a 5 and I had to put insoles in them).

TOMS Classic Slip-On

I am usually a 7 or 7.5. The heel on the 7 was slipping with every step. 6.5 was perfect. I was shocked! I have never fit into a 6.5!

^ that means the shoes run big, not small.

I agree with you on Michael Kors running small. I'm between 4.5 and 5.0, and my MK pumps in 5.0 are the perfect fit. If they were any smaller they'd need stretching.

Aldo shoe sizes are all over the place... not usually a good thing, but some of their styles will run a half or full size small. Then again, some styles run huuuuge, so unfortunately you have to try them on to find out. I recently bought a pair of flats in 5.0 that were really tight. I crammed my feet in there and stretched them out so they're comfy now, but they would have been better for someone with size 4.5 feet. I have several pairs of sandals and pumps in size 5.0 that fit well, and a pair of size 6 wedges with a cage style upper that ran super small (I tried the 5.0 and couldn't get my feet in!)

Hi everyone, I'm personally between a 3.5 and 4, and I just got tired of the limited choices out there, so I started The Odd Slipper and it's all shoes smaller than a size 6. Primarily do 4-5.5 but we're also getting selected styles in 3's and even have 1 boot coming in a size 2 because there are some very very tiny feet out there. Feel free to check out the site www.theoddslipper.com, we could always use more petite sources right?

I just got a pair of J Crew Coddington Suede Platform Pumps that ran super small. their size 5 feels like a narrow 4.5 to me. It's smaller than some of my 4s. As it turns out, Really Petite did a post on them fitting small too. Plus, they're currently on sale! Only size 5 left.
