Anyone recommend jeans or trousers that dont make my legs look like sticks?

I would recommend buying Abercrombie (adult sizing because it's tailored more to people with some curves whereas kids version lacks that). I also love Paige Jeans and Mavi Jeans.

What type of cut are you looking for? Many petites (including myself) rave about gap jean leggings. For trouser cut jeans I've seen some petites look great in the LOFT ones and I really like the ones from the Gap but I haven't heard of any first hand reviews.

I've been having a lot of success with Delia's jeans. They have lots of different lengths too which is really nice!

I've done well with Levi's. There is a bootcut style that doesn't have skinny legs, and I think there's 1 other style that isn't too skinny.

I also nominate Levi's.

I just tried on a pair of "not your daughter's jeans". Size 0 was perfect. Long, but at least the waist fit and pockets were exactly where they were supposed to be.

I recently purchased AE Outfitters 00 short jeggings and skinny jeans. I like the fit although I did notice that the jeggings got a little loose around the knees after a day, but I'm sure they'll tighten up once washed. The other jeans I have that fit very nicely are a pair of Paige skinny jeans in size 24 (well, they fit everywhere except length) that I bought at Nordstrom Rack.

I do not recommend the LOFT petite jeans if you have any curves. I purchased some last year in 00P, modern fit, and I just don't like them. The length is perfect but they lack stretch and I always feel like I have to pull them up over my stomach. I have a pretty small waist but I'm slightly curvy and I don't think LOFT sizes for bigger thighs and booty.

I'm 5'1.5 and I've had some luck with jeans at Zaras - mostly skinnyish jeans. Wet Seal jeans (boot cut) have fit me really well for some reason and are very affordable.

I also tried out pants at PetiteProfessional.com and like their work and casual pants. They use the inseam in their sizing so the pants fit well and are the right length. Super comfortable and affordable.
