Hey! I'm 27 and 5' tall. About 85 lbs. Currently trying to gain 10 lbs, but since I haven't gained weight my whole life, I'm probably just fooling myself. Anyway, I'm actually bigger in my waist- 25" but I HATE my stupid, narrow hips. They're what causes most of my problems with clothes fitting, in addition to having a 26" inseam. Bust is 30.5" and I wouldn't mind adding another inch there too, but eh, I guess I just have to learn to be happy with what I have. I have two younger sisters who are both bigger than me, so that's fun. *sarcasm*
Anyway, I love this site, it's been teaching me a lot about proper fit and better quality clothes. I just quit my job and moved, but before that, I had been working at a zoo for 5 years, so you can imagine my wardrobe is pretty casual, and I'm working to change that. I do need to learn to love heels though, any other shorties wear a lot of flats like I do?

Hello ladies I'm in my 20 somethings, in NYC working on my Accounting degree while working (almost) full time for a non-profit organization. I feel stuck in the middle where I can dress like a college student or a young working professional. I used to live on my own where I developed this frugal shopping habit, so clearance items were my first choice. Now that I'm more financially stable, I wish to build a fashionable wardrobe of well put-together pieces that fit! I'm 5 feet 3/4 inches, (almost 5'1) about 95-100 lbs. For work clothes- I LOVE Ann Taylor/Ann Taylor LOFT (used to work for them for two years!) Their style and sizing got so much better since I left, grr! Mostly anything 00P or XXSP fits me perfectly. For play clothes- I find Joe's jeans petite size 24 or AG jeans size 24 (hemmed 29.5 inseam) are the best. After coming across AN/PAG's blog and this forum, I've been so inspired to refresh my wardrobe. It's also great knowing I'm not alone in the world of xxsp fashion! I really hope we can raise petite awareness in the fashion world and generate more options for us petites! Ever notice that if you go to the Petite section in department stores, it's geared towards little old ladies? Can someone tell them there are young working professional petites too. *Sigh*

Hey everyone! I'm 23 and a 2nd-year PhD student in robotics. I don't go through all the trials and tribulations of finding work-appropriate attire, since everyone in my program dresses like a slob. Honestly every day I look at my closet and go, "How can I dress this down so I don't look like I tried too hard?" Lol, ironic right? Someday I'll get a real job and get to look pretty like all of you... in the meantime I get to wear stuff mid-thigh with impunity. I'm just now starting to become picky about fit because my friend told me most women wear the wrong bra size. And then I realized being a 28B was the reason that 32AA bras (which I used to think was the "smallest size") were hanging off of me. After that revelation, now I want everything to fit! More fashionable petite clothes! More stylish size 4 shoes made for people with gigantic bunions! Well, at least the petite clothing one isn't a losing battle. Anyway, you guys are all an inspiration. I love seeing everyone's outfits and learning what works on petites. elis wrote: I do need to learn to love heels though, any other shorties wear a lot of flats like I do? My "daily uniform" includes flat shoes, because I walk a mile to school every day, which would really wear down heels pretty quickly... not to mention my feet, which are a secondary concern. But it's not that bad for me 'cause being a student in a more casual department I can wear shorts/skirts well above the knee.

Speaking of well fitting bras...I was in the market for a nude bra today and decided that I was going to finally go in for a proper fitting so I can stop wearing bras that don't fit right. So I went in to Nordstrom's and was fitted for a...30C! That totally blew my mind! Here I was for the last, what, 10 years, wearing a 32A just because that's the smallest common size when I'm actually 2 cups bigger and a band size smaller! Crazy!

Hi, everyone I am 35, married, live in Brooklyn, NY, mom to 2 girls (8 and 4). I am 5 feet tall, about 108-110 pounds. I am pretty big bone/wide for a petite girl with larger boobs. I work full time in healthcare admin. Need to look professionals but can usually get away with business casual. Have always had a hard time finding clothing and always spend a ton of $ buying and altering them. Despite that, still love shopping and fashion. Glad I found this site. ______ Stats: 5 ft--(I may even be 4'11" and 3/4 ; 108-110 pounds, shoe size 5-5.5; bra size 32c

Hi. I am a Chinese-American in my 20s living in Central Texas. My occupation is a full time doctoral student in the field of child and family development. I love any fashion item that is elegant, romantic, chic and classy. In a nutshell, I am a girl who wants to find inspirations and beauty in my life. My favorite TV idols are Emma Pillsbury (in Glee) and Charlotte York (in Sex and the City)! Being a graduate student I can't really pull off their styles at the moment. One day soon I plan to. I'm 5'3 100 lbs size 00p or xxsp shoes: size 6 or 6.5 I have been enjoying reading all your posts! http://petitegorgeous.blogspot.com/

Hello all, I am in my 20s, living in the South Bay area, Cali. The dress code (if there is one) here is pretty relaxed- mostly everyone wear jeans and sneakers at work, but I like it when people dress up professionally, so I try to do it every day. I've been my size since I was 16, so dressing older also makes me appear older, and in my industry that's a good thing. I am usually the shortest person I know - standing around 5'2, and 95lbs. All of you have a great fashion sense and know exactly what you want - I am quite the opposite. I still have clothes dating back from high school that I still wear. Sometimes I don't enjoy shopping - especially being short and smaller than the usual mall size, it's really exhausting trying to find anything that fits. Anyway - I'm learning from all of you! Maybe some day, some fashions sense will rub off. p.s. you guys have like.. REALLY small feet! I wear a 6.5, but many of you wear size 5! Does that mean I *might* grow taller??? j/k

I've been lurking around so I thought I'd say hi. I'm 28, 5'2.5", 104 lbs. You girls make me feel huge, hehe. I used to be a size 0, but not with everyone resizing their clothes. I don't do much online shopping, so I haven't tried much in the way of 00. 0P fits me, but the pants tend to be a little shorter than I'd like. My shoe size is 6.5, so I don't have any problems finding shoes. I'm in grad school right now, so I dress very casually. I will need a nicer wardrobe when I finish though...

Hi Everyone! My name is Henrietta and I've started a petites-only clothing line ( http://www.henriettapertuz.com) for women like us who have trouble finding chic clothes that actually fit! Thank you so much, AN, for starting this thread. It's really helpful for me to read all of these posts, especially as I develop new collections. All of my styles are created to fit and flatter petite women with lots of different body shapes. While some brands simply cut off the length of a garment and call it "petite", I start with petite measurements and grade up or down from there. I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs...although my weight does go up sometimes, usually after the weekend! My goal is to create classic, versatile clothes that are well-made and fit great, so you will want to keep them for a lifetime (or pass them on to your daughter, niece, whoever...since we all know height runs in the family I look forward to hearing from more petite women on this thread! http://www.henriettapertuz.com

Hi all! I've been following PAG and AN or a while now but haven't had the time to check out this forum! This is FANTASTIC! I'm a twenty-something Dietetic Intern living in Canada. My maternal family is petite, but my dad's side was blessed with being tall. My little sister towers over me at 5'8 and I'm 5'3 (52kg) . I absolutely love anything related to food, living healthy and shopping I started my blog to talk about food and fashion and I think it's still evolving! One thing about me? I have monster feet compared to my height I feel...size 7.5 :p Anyway, I look forward to reading more about you all and looking at all the outfit posts!! ------- http://vanillalavenderdelights.blogspot.com/
