I learned about the petite blogging community through extrapetite.com (that I found while browsing other fashion blogs). I'm at that stage where I need to start dressing more "mature", particularly when I am in the office. I've found many petite blogs to be helpful in figuring out what works best for my body and doesn't make me look younger than I already am. I'm more on the curvy side and would like to find more petite bloggers who I can relate to.

Hi everyone. My name is Phoebe and I’m a petite professional turning 30 this year. I currently live in the Minneapolis but I am originally from Toronto. Prior to Minneapolis, I lived in DC for 2 years and loved my stay there.
Recently I put myself on a monthly shopping budget and have been blogging about my purchases and new clothing combinations I discovered as I remix my clothes. I love to shop and strive to look polished and put together. However, comfort is key when I put together my outfits.

I'm a early twenty-something year old girl from Canada! I'm of Chinese decent but I'm throughly white-washed. In general, my family is taller than me. I am the smallest in my family with my mom being about 1-2inches taller than me and my closest in height. My cousins are all over 5'5" with the exception of the 'babies' who are not into or just entering high school and will most likely be taller than me by the time they graduate.) I am currently a student and I work part time at a place that requires uniform. I found this forum after reading all these 'petite' blogs for ages. I recently started my own blog called CocoMeChanel and am loving it.
I am constantly on the lookout for clothing that I don't need to hem or alter in some way. But I still love shopping and clothing. I have a closet that I adore.

I am Silvie, and I am working with electron microscopes (I love the micro-world .
I live in central Europe, and the average height of women in my country seems to be 5 ft 6 in. Sometimes I feel like hobbit as I am only 5 ft 0 in and I am the smallest person in my family and among my friend. I do not like shopping for myself as I never find something with the good fit, therefore I usually wear jeans and T-shirts. The problem is that there are no petite sized clothes and the smallest size is 34 (4 US) including H&M, Zara, Mango...and I am probably shrinking or they are getting bigger and bigger every year. It is slightly better with shoes as most of my shoes are size 36, and 35,34 and 33 sizes are available in Vienna( Austria) not that far from my home. Just now I have found the Freya Bra company (UK) so I am looking forward to wear my real size, although first I have to overcome my fear of e-shopping.
I hate freezing winter times as I always, no-matter how much do I try, end up looking like Michelin Man.

A little bit about myself. I'm currently a grad student. I'm the tiniest in a family of fairly average size women. I lucked out and got all the petite genes I guess.

Growing up horse back riding (read: constantly covered in mud and horse hair and snot) + having a difficulty in finding clothes that fit me (who really likes shopping in the childrens clothes section?) kind of kept me from really being interested in anything to do with fashion. Nice clothes would get ruined at the barn and I couldn't find things in my size anyway.

Stumbling across some petite blogs the other day was a revelation to me.

Hello. I'm... wait have I done this before? I post so infrequently I have no idea if I've introduced myself. Anyway, if I have, I'm doing it again. I'm 35, I live in Australia, and I'm usually the shortest person in the room! I'm not sure what else to say about myself other than I found Alterations Needed because I've not been shopping for years and years and recently felt as if I needed to update my wardrobe. So I purged a whole lot of things that I bought in my early 20s (lots of low rise jeans, hoodies, sandals, etc) and am now trying to slowly achieve an "adult" wardrobe.

Some of my fit challenges come from the fact that I have a long torso relative to my leg length, thick thighs and legs but a comparatively small chest and ribcage... also, my shoulders are broad so I don't look pear-shaped even though I sort of am. Oh, and I can't wear heels because I have bunions.

Hi, I have recently gone back to school(for me). I'm 5' and am of Asian descent(born and raised in California). I recently did the whole body measurement thing(vertical and horizontal) and was really surprised at how small I actually am. I am a short-waisted inverted triangle and wear alot of separates(size 8-10 for blouses, size 4 for pants and skirts) Ended up re-doing my whole wardrobe and through much trial and error, am really much happier. Living with less but better clothes, clothes that really do something for me.

I've always been a lover of fashion! In my younger years, it was so much easier to find pieces that worked on me. I guess my size then contributed to this less challenging assemble (I fluctuated between a size 2-4). Nowadays, it's quite a challenge for me to find the right fit. Over the years, I've blossomed into a volumptuous woman (yes, I'm on the heavier side for a petite lady).

I'm a 25-year-old grad student living in TN. I am of Eastern European decent and both of my parents are thin. The women in my family are petite but much taller than I am (I have scoliosis). I recently stumbled upon this blog/forum from extrapetite.com and I'm so glad I did. I've been struggling trying to find clothes that actually fit me for years!

I've worked in retail for a few years and it was discouraging not being able to fit into their clothes. Now I have a full-time job that requires "business casual" attire and I basically alternate between 3 outfits. I'm definitely going to start checking out all the resources posted here!!

I"m Annabelle and I discovered the AN Forum via ExtraPetite. I was originally from China, moved to the US about 12 years ago. I am actually the tallest among the women in my family at 5'4". Unfortunately, the rest of me is very petite. I weigh about 95-96 lbs, 30-24-33, and wear xxsp/00p. My shoulders are pretty broad but my torso and hips are quite slim. I have so much trouble finding pencil skirts that fit off the rack.

I'm so excited to see so many resources here in the petite community and am looking forward to contribute my part!
