I can't stay away from blazers, especially if they appear petite-friendly, so I tried on about three at my last H&M visit. The two I'm reviewing were in size two, one a black boyfriend style and the other a grey blazer. The grey blazer's fit was decent when unbuttoned, but I thought it looked funny once I buttoned it (sorry, no pictures of that). The sleeves are too long of course and it's on the longer side, hitting below the waist. I don't know if other people experience this but sometimes when I wear blazers I feel too bunched up in the neck/shoulder area (maybe something to do with shoulder pads?) and I like that this one did not make me feel like that. Overall though, the quality wasn't great (although not surprising given the price, which was probably $34.95) and again, when buttoned, it looked quite strange, like a bad cross between a cardigan and a blazer.

The other blazer I tried on was a boyfriend-style black blazer with white lining. I would really like to try the boyfriend style but haven't found anything flattering yet. In fact, I just returned the Urban Outfitters Silence and Noise boyfriend blazer that everyone seems to love because I felt it was just too big on my under 5' frame. But I digress. Despite the quality of the H&M blazer (which wasn't great), I purchased it and am still deciding. It has the longer length of a boyfriend blazer (hits me at mid-thigh) but it nips in a little at the waist, which keeps it from being too boxy and shapeless. The sleeves are too long but I usually wear mine scrunched anyway. I like that it's more casual with just one button. I'd appreciate people's thoughts on this blazer and/or suggestions for another! Oh, almost forgot, I'm 4'11.75" and 95 lbs.

Hi, Lunita! Thanks for all the informative pics and reviews of items. From what I can see in the 2 pictures you posted, I like how it looks on you! And I am also another person who's very thankful for the H&M return policy -- it makes me love them more because sometimes, you make a bad decision with a purchase and a bad return policy especially with a lot of petites "settling" on fit (or lack of!) sometimes makes you think badly of an experience with a company... But I digress there too, haha!

Of course, it looks like a nice relaxed fit on you! I'm not sure if it's the shoulder pads but the shoulders seem to extend out quite a bit further from your natural shoulders? H&M blazers do the same on me and it's a look that works in some situations but not others. Either way, I like the "relaxed fit" and would keep it if I were you - at least judging from these pictures! Unless you already have similar items in your closet! Warmest wishes.

Hi! Thanks for your response. I ended up returning it and am still looking; I have several blazers I purchased and am not completely happy with and was trying to avoid that mistake again! I'm hoping to maybe find a blazer from Asos. I think the shoulders did extend from my natural shoulders. Yes, I love H&M's return policy--every store should be like that (hint, hint, F21). At any given time I usually have at least two or three H&M bags in my closet, waiting for decisions. :)
