Does anyone among you petite readers who actually bought and tried on some Elle Macpherson's bras?
I just bought 3 of them this today (day off for me) at a large department store in Paris where the brand was quite brand new. I first saw the bras on Figleaves (and one of you told about it in a post) and found them looking quite good... and rather expensive. Well today was my day to get new bras and as I ended in that nice and chic store, I started looking for lingerie.... and found the Elle Macpherson bras. Sales days now so there was some bras on cut price plus extra cut to add to final price. These bras looks very good, not too sexy but fancy enough though and with nearly all the spectrum of colour (not really yellow nor green though). And no tee shirt bras in the range (do you call them like that,I mean the bras?). But really I do not understand how the fit and sizes have been made ; I am normally a 32A (albeit I recently bought 2 bras in 32B and they do fit well) and I tried several bras in Elle Macpherson range. First I thought that the cups i 32A looked very very tiny, for nearly all the models (either low or up cut). So I decided to make a try and took all the bras I selected in 32A, 34A AND 32B. Well I ended to buy one in 32A, one in 32B and one in 34A.... And the 32B is rather small on the band.... I decided to buy only the bras on sale as to begin with this brand (albeit I did try a lot of differents bras.... seems my money will be used often in this brand!). The fact is, I am lost now! What is my bra size? How comes that I ended with 3 different sizes? It might be that I am going up a cup but not sure about it as I still can wear 32A and some 32B as well.
But no I think that is the brand which seems to size very small. Oh and the bras are Made in China..... Quality though seems all right. Any clues on how the Elle Mac Pherson bras are cut and sized? Many thanks ladies.

Hello, I own two Elle Macpherson bras, a Coranto and a Casablanca model in 30D. (In other bras by brands like Panache or Freya I wear a 28DD; my underbust measurement is 25") Both fit very well; the Coranto has shallower, lower cups for very low cut styles. The underwires are not too broad, and being tiny, I like that they do not come up super high under the arms. I find the quality to be very good and they are extremely pretty.
Unfortunately, the makers of Elle have discontinued all 30 band bras and now start at 32, which would be suitable for an underbust measurement of 28-29.
A resource that you might find helpful is bratabase.com. Women send in the dimensions of their bras. There are some Elle bras listed, and you can compare them with other brands.
Hope this helps!

Ahhh many thanks for your answer,at last. I thought that nobody would be able to help me. Thank you too for your tips and link. The problem in France (but I think too in UK or Spain,Italy... actually) is that you won't find bras under 32 band size. Even in japanese brands (like Wacoal or Gossard which should run smaller as they are originally japanese brands) you won't find any. In some very rare shops but mostly children (teens?) underwear. I just don't know the name of the Elle MacPherson's bras I bought. But I must say that,so far,as I already wore 2 on the 3 I bought,it was a deception. They don't really fit me and I can't return them as they were on sales and bought through a store. Because sometimes you need several hours of wear to properly try a clothe. So I do not know if I will buy bras from this brand again.... and my quest for the perfect bras is still running alas!
Anyhow for those of you ordering through Figleaves, you could give a try to a french brand Princesse Ta Tam who used to be petite friendly. I say used because it tends since several collections to go to the regular sizes to follow the market.
I have some difficulties to actually measure mu bust and underbust. Not even thinking to convert from centimeters to inches, yet at least.

I was recently fitted for bras and learned that I was a 30A (after years of wearing 32A which always seemed a bit large). The salesperson brought me an Elle MacPherson 32A since she said that they are sized quite small, and it fit perfectly. I ended up purchasing a 30A Princesse Tam Tam Epure push-up bra -- it is the most comfortable bra ever and worth the price. I wanted to purchase one in a different colour but unfortunately they have now discountinued the 30A size -- so disappointing!

Well first of all lucky you to have found a 30A Princesse Tam Tam' bra, they do not sell this size at all in France, although it is a french brand! It used to be known as a brand specialize in small sizes but since they have been bought from the original owner some years ago, they tend to be like all the others, meaning for the common market (and "normal sizes"). Regarding the Elle MacPherson' bras, they do fir small but It really depend on the model! Yesterday evening I went again to a department store where this brand is sold and tried others bras:none of the 5 were fitting although I tried different sizes. I bought 3 bras Elle Macpherson previously: a 32A, a32B and even a 34A. Well the 32A is too smalll at the cups, the 32B is too narrow and the 34A doesn't fit either. So I would say it all depend on the model and the brand. I also tried a Calvin Klein tee shirt bra in 32A and the cups were a bit too big! I really would like to understand... i must say that I definitely feel more comfortable with French brands as I know what and which fit or not. And another lesson : never again buy underwear through internet: here in France return policy is not so easy and we are not so used to it. So each time is a try, win or miss. I had several deceptions so far. So ladies which brand can be really true to the size and have small sizes AND are available in Europe? Calvin has been a miss for me.

I tried the Elle Macpherson Dentelle underwired bra (as opposed to the Dentelle contour bra, which is basically a half-cup) last week, and I'd say it runs about a size small in the band and slightly small in the cup. I normally wear 28DD/E, and the 30D and 30DD felt as tight as most 28s. Neither one was a perfect fit in the cups - the D was slightly small for me but I couldn't quite fill out the DD, though that's probably more of a shape issue and not surprising for a D-G cup style. After looking at the EM website, it seems they do still make 30 bands, but only in one or two D-G cup styles - the core range is 32-36 A-DD. It's a shame they don't offer 30A-C, because the brand is often recommended for smaller busts. The 32s might still be a good option for people who typically wear 30s, though. I used to have the Dentelle contour bra and I can confirm that it's gorgeous and well-made.
