Here is the issue: i love the looks of wearing tights and it helps keep warm too but the issue i have is that most waistbands are uncomfortable that i cant wear it all day long.. I have tried buying the ones without the waist control top and i still find it uncomfortable..

I am buyig according to the size guide in the back.. Should i just size it up?

The most comfortable so far has been Merona tights from target but they snag very easily and to pay $8 and to use it one time is just a bit much..

Do you have a favorite pair of tights that are durable and comfortable?
Please shareee :)

I don't wear tights very often, but I've had luck with juniors tights from Nordstrom. I have a pair of "sweater" tights that have held up well, and since they're made for juniors, they're a little shorter than regular sizes and don't have the control top.

Back in December I bought Commando opaque tights in black. They were pricey ($34 normally, I bought mine from Piperlime when they had the site-wide 20% off) but I have the same issue as you do--waistbands, even non-control tops, we're so uncomfortable! I didn't wear tights because I couldn't deal with the discomfort. I shelled out the extra $$ and it was worth it! These are so comfortable! The waist band is more like a giant stretchy panel. Reminds me of the panels in maternity pants. They are a nice thick weight and very opaque. I have worn them once a week since I got them in early December, and they are holding up well in the wash, and no snags (and I am snag-prone).

I was just going to suggest the same thing. I just bought some Frenchi tights the other day and wore them to work this week, and I was really impressed at their quality. My Nordstrom had quite a few on sale this past weekend.

I'd also suggest Forever 21 tights if you don't mind hiking up the legs a few times during the day. Their tights generally don't have the control tops, but the legs are a bit long, so I have to bunch them at the top of my thighs a little (I know, super hot).

I wear danskin dance tights- they cost around $10 and they're really durable. Unless you want ballet pink though, blank and nude are the only options. They're sized like normal tights and I wear my black ones almost everyday.

Joe Fresh tights are amazingly sturdy and very affordable! Not sure if you have one where you live, but definitely check it out if you can.

I also wear dance tights! Very opaque and thick. Forever 21 tights are usually 60 dernier, but I've found the occasional 100 dernier; it should be labeled on the package.

Already Pretty did a post on warm winter tights and recommends a few different brands for warmth and durability. The comments are helpful, too.
