Hey all,
I'll put up a picture when I get the chance, but I was wondering if any one else has a problem with baggy thighs in pants.

These J. crew corduroy city pants fit fine in the butt, with a small waist gap so yay!

But the legs of the pants from the butt to the knee are very wide. There's a very deep crease that runs from the hip downward, and I'm not sure if I could just get that extra fabric removed. Like taking a shirt in at the sides, but with pants?

Has anyone altered pants in this manner?

I haven't altered pants in the upper leg area, but I am very sure that a tailor can handle the request you are making. I've altered from the knee downwards. If you are saying there is an extra panel of fabric, then definitely yes!!

That should be a very easy and inexpensive alteration.

I had a problem with baggy legs and found that they altered pretty nicely by taking it in along the inseam. Should be doable!

Here's a photo of the before and after from a past blog post:
