Another classic plaid/preppy option for small button-down lovers!
I tried on some abercrombie girls' button-downs today, and the Large seemed to fit really well, even better than the CrewCuts boys' 10 I also tried on, much less boxy (they definitely make some allowances for preteens/teens not being cut straight up and down). I remember a while ago I tried them on but the Large was a little too slim for my bust while the XL was too long, but I had been losing weight so I might have been a little bustier then (I'm a 30C, and it just fits without gaping.). Folks a bit taller/with a longer torso than me may find the XL fits well for them. They have them in all sorts of different fabrics and patterns - I was looking for something that wasn't stiff but the collar wouldn't droop, and I found what I was looking for in a soft cotton. For me, the sleeves worked better with the cuffs turned up, but 'slightly' longer arms will find them perfect.
They can be more expensive than a lot of shirts at full price... but bonus - they were having their 50% off redline merchandise sale, which at the moment seems to include all or most of their long-sleeve button-downs!
